Kristin Fischer will join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In her new position, Fisher will cover everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin's parents are both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space and has now been an White House reporter for FOX News, covering both the Biden and Trump administrations in space matters. Over the course of that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial, two efforts to stop the pandemic coronavirus, in addition to two distinct administrations' initiatives. She also went on trips with President Trump and the Vice President frequently. The trip included a shady trip with him to Afghanistan. Kristin was a television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter, before joining CBS in 2015. Kristin used her experience in the field to create Field Mouse Films. The company specialized in producing documentary-style films. It was also a favourite among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married with a daughter, and their three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
