Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She anchors SportsNation and is a SportsCenter anchor. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. She is the child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. When she was just nine years old, Collins's capacity to speak two languages has led to her obtaining an employment in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. As an assistant producer she was able to collaborate with national program producers such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then, she was hired by the CBS affiliate in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. In 2009, she relocated away from Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent on KNVO TV 48 Univision. She worked in the same job as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collins' parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd of November, 1985. She is older than her sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and relocated to Miami. Within a brief time her father separated from her mother and she then remarried in 1995 a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. It was on a summer vacation that she stayed with her sibling at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured the job. Antonietta, a high-school senior with an idea of what she wanted her future to be like, visited Mount Union University in order to find out what she could get out of the college. It was an amazing campus. The university also provided her with the program she was interested in. She completed her schooling and was admitted to the university as a major studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station director of WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. The passion he had for journalism as well as confidence in herself encouraged her. She in turn attempted to live up to his expectations and never disappoint him.
